INFORMATION REQUEST
On 6 December 2024 you asked for records about catering at the Historic Village. Here is our
response to your questions:
1. Any communications, meeting records etc with Bay Venues/Bay Catering
regarding 159 17th Ave The Historic Village or The Whipped Baker and taking
over their space once it is vacated
We attach copies of our correspondence with Bay Venues Ltd and Bay Catering and
related to services provided the Historic Village by the Whipped Baker from 1 April
2023 – 6 December 2024.
The Whipped Baker advised us in April 2023 that they were not able to provide buffet
services at the Village. Bay Catering provided those services until The Whipped
Baker began providing them again in March 2024.
On 18 August 2023 Council staff met with Bay Venues. There are no recorded notes
of that meeting. Council staff advised that The Whipped Baker would be given the
lease and catering contract.
This request and the response have been considered under the LGOIMA1 . We have redacted
the name of an organisation under section 7(2)(c)
to protect information which is subject to an
obligation of confidence where the making available of the information—
(i)
would be likely to prejudice the supply of similar information, or information from
the same source, and it is in the public interest that such information should
continue to be supplied; or
(ii)
would be likely otherwise to damage the public interest;
