Thank you for your email of 26 November 2024 in which you request the following under
the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA):
I am writing to request information under the Official Information Act 1982
concerning New Zealand's involvement in the Five Eyes collaboration related to the
Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) and/or Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO).
To facilitate a comprehensive response, I am specifically seeking:
1.Documents and Communications: Any documents, reports, or communications
from the past five years detailing New Zealand's participation in discussions or
initiatives within the Five Eyes alliance regarding UAP and UFO phenomena.
2.International Agreements and Memoranda: Any agreements or memoranda of
understanding between New Zealand and other Five Eyes countries concerning the
sharing of information or joint investigations related to UAPs and UFOs.
3.Meetings and Conferences: Records of meetings or conferences attended by New
Zealand representatives where UAPs and/or UFOs were discussed within the
context of Five Eyes collaboration.
4.Diplomatic Correspondence: Any diplomatic correspondence related to UAP
and/or UFO phenomena that involves New Zealand's interactions with other Five
Eyes countries.
Your request for information is refused under section 18(e) of the OIA, as the
information you have requested does not exist.
