Official Information Act request: Prime Minister’s overseas travel from 1 January to 10 
November 2024 
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, received on 25 November 
2024. You requested: 
 
“… how many days/nights has the prime minister spent overseas on ministerial 
business between 1.1.24 and 10.11.24.” 
 
Information about the Prime Minister’s overseas travel from 1 January to 31 October 2024 is 
publicly available on the Beehive website here: Ministerial diaries. Accordingly, I have 
refused the part of your request for the number of days or nights the Prime Minister (PM) has 
spent overseas on ministerial business between 1 January and 31 October 2024 under 
section 18(d) of the Act – the information requested is or will soon be publicly available.  
 
I can confirm that the PM did not travel overseas between 1 and 10 November 2024. 
 
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under 
section 28(3) of the Act.
