Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request dated 3 November 2024.
You wrote:
How many people have the Police charged with neglict in the following cases
within the past ten years:
Charging an adult (person A), who is not caring for another adult person (person
B) in any professional capacity, where person B caused their own overdose.
As outlined in response to your previous request on a similar topic (IR-01-24-34919), it is
not possible to identify all such incidents as the information requested is not held by
Police to the specific level you are interested in.
Therefore, your request is refused under section 18(g) of the OIA as the information
requested is not held.

version of this response may be publicly released on the New Zealand Police website.
