I refer to your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request dated 24 October 2024 for 
information regarding the calibration of HR2070.    
You requested: 
Please provide the calibration certificate for the speed detection equipment 
relating to infringement notice no PR7694615. 
Please find enclosed the associated Certificate of Accuracy for the mobile camera in 
question.  
Under section 146 of the Land Transport Act 1998, all operational speed detection 
equipment, including safe speed cameras, radars, lasers, and patrol vehicle 
speedometers are required to be calibrated annually. The responsibility for testing and 
certification rests with Police Calibration Services, an International Standards Accredited 
Laboratory, based in Wel ington.
