Request for information: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Data 
 
Thank you for your request dated 22 October 2024 under the Official Information Act 1982 
(OIA) for information relating to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) data for Māori 
and Pacifica. You requested: 
 
Please provide information on the rates of uptake of ADHD medicines amongst Maori 
and Pacifica, over time. 
 
On 24 October 2024, I contacted you to confirm the time period of information you were 
looking for. You confirmed that the period should show recent changes without being 
excessively long or dif icult. We have defined ‘overtime’ as the last five financial years. We 
have also interpreted ‘rate of uptake’ as the count of unique patients dispensed an ADHD 
medicine by ethnicity.
