Dear P Robins
Official Information Act request for weekly reports sent to the Prime Minister
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received by the
Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). You requested:
“I request all weekly reports from September and October 2024 from DPMC to
the Prime Minister.”
On 25 October 2024 you confirmed with staff in the Ministerial Services Team that you were
seeking copies of weekly reports sent from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
(DPMC) to the Prime Minister, Rt Hon Christopher Luxon.
We have interpreted this request to be for formal briefing documents (for example reports,
briefings, memoranda, aides memoire).
This response covers any information held by the Cyclone Recovery Unit (CRU) which is a
business unit within DPMC and supports me as the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery. You
will receive a separate response from DPMC’s Executive Director, National Security in
respect of any other relevant reports held by DPMC.

In making my decision, I have considered the public interest considerations in section 9(1) of
the Act. No public interest has been identified that would be sufficient to outweigh the
reasons for withholding that information.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under
section 28(3) of the Act.
This response will be published on DPMC’s website during our regular publication cycle.
Typically, information is released monthly, or as otherwise determined. Your personal
information including name and contact details will be removed for publication.
Yours sincerely
Katrina Casey
