Official Information Act request: Stars Flight Ltd follow up 
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, received on 15 October 
2024. You requested: 
 
“Thank you for your prompt response to the OIA dated 3 October 2024 regarding 
Transparent Democracy. I refer to RELEASE DOC MURTAGH PMO 128 
4957029.1.pdf dated 11 October 2024. With reference to page 1, email dated 26 
August 2024, paragraph 2. “However, I have forwarded your documents to our 
advisors for their consideration”. Please provide this correspondence.” 
 
I apologise for the administrative oversight and attach the email trail as mentioned above. 
There are four attachments included at the top of the email trail. These attachments are 
withheld in their entirety under the following sections of the Act: 
 
•  s9(2)(a), to protect the privacy of individuals 
•  s9(2)(b)(ii), to protect the commercial position of the person who supplied the 
information, or who is the subject of the information 
•  s9(2)(ba), to protect information which is subject to an obligation of confidence.  
 
Additional information from the body of the email is withheld under the following sections of 
the Act: 
 
•  s9(2)(a), to protect personal privacy  
•  s9(2)(k), prevent the disclosure or use of official information for improper gain or 
improper advantage. 
 
A small amount of information is not in scope of your request and is marked accordingly.  
 
You will note there is no email from the advisor in reply to staff regarding Star Flight Limited’s 
documentation, this is because the reply was done verbally. Star Flight Limited was advised 
of the outcome via phone call.  
 
In making my decision, I have considered the public interest considerations in section 9(1) of 
the Act. No public interest has been identified that would be sufficient to outweigh the 
reasons for withholding that information.
