Thank you for your email of 3 October 2024 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment 
(MBIE), requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information: 
 
“I request a copy of the briefing with the tracking number 2324-2570.” 
I am writing to advise you that MBIE will provide a response but needs to extend the time available to 
answer your request. The reason for the extension applies to section 15A(1)(b) of the Act, as 
consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a proper response cannot be 
made within the original time limit. 
 
MBIE’s response will be sent to you no later than 15 November 2024. However, we will respond to you 
sooner if we are able to.  
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision, in accordance 
with section 28(3) of the Act. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
