Thank you for your email of 27 September 2024 to the Ministry of Business, Innovafion and Employment
(MBIE) requesfing, under the Oﬃcial Informafion Act 1982 (the Act), the fol owing informafion:

Please provide copies of any advice provided to ministers related to nuclear energy (of any sort
including power, waste, etc) since October 14 2023.

One email and one weekly report item to the Minister for Energy have been found in scope of your
request. Please note some informafion has been withheld as out of scope or redacted under the
fol owing secfions of the Act:
9(2)(a)
to protect the privacy of natural persons, including that of deceased natural
persons;
9(2)(b)(ii)
to protect informafion where the making available of the informafion would be
likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial posifion of the person who
supplied or who is the subject of the informafion; and
9(2)(g)(i)
to maintain the eﬀecfive conduct of public aﬀairs through the free and frank
expression of opinions by or between or to Ministers of the Crown or members of
an organisafion or oﬃcers and employees of any public service agency or
organisafion in the course of their duty.

I do not consider that the withholding of this informafion is outweighed by public interest considerafions
in making the informafion available.
