Thank you for your email of 26 September 2024 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wellington City Council (the 
Council), requesting the following information: 
 
1.  Confirmation of the make, model and year of the Mayoral car. 
 
2.  Date of purchase and price. 
 
3.  Confirmation of any new car warranty and length of time the car is covered. 
 
4.  A breakdown of all repairs and costs associated with the car since January 2023 to date. 
 
5.  Any parking tickets/fines/infringement notices associated with this car since January 2023 to 
date and who was driving at the time. 
 
6.  Kilometers travelled between November 1st 2023 to December 31st 2023. 
 
7.  Kilometers travelled between Jan 1st to September 26th on a month-by-month basis. 
 
 
Your request is being considered under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 
(LGOIMA). 
 
This letter is to advise you that the Council needs to extend the due date of your response for 10 working 
days, pursuant to section 14(1)(b) of the LGOIMA, as consultations necessary to make a decision on the 
request are such that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time 
limit. 
 
For this reason, you can expect a response from the Council no later than 8 November 2024. 
 
You have the right, by way of complaint under section 27(3) of the LGOIMA, to request an investigation and 
review of WCC’s decision to extend by the Ombudsman. Information about how to make a complaint is 
available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
