Thank you for your email of 21 September 2024 to the Ministry of Education requesting the 
following information regarding the Pūhoro STEMM Academy, specifically for the years 2021, 
2022, and 2023:  
1. Al  correspondence between the Ministry and the Academy. If this scope is too broad, I 
specifically request all correspondence related to: 
   - Funding provided to the Academy. 
   - Outcomes of students participating in Academy programs. 
 
2. Copies of all reports related to the Academy, not limited to annual reports, but including 

any evaluations, assessments, or reviews submitted to or produced by the Ministry. 
 
3. Detailed information on all forms of funding provided to the Academy, including but not 

limited to grants, scholarships, and operational funding. 
 
4. Copies of all invoices paid by the Ministry to the Academy, along with details of the 

corresponding services or goods provided. 
 
5. Any advice provided to the Minister of Education concerning the Pūhoro STEMM 

Academy, including briefings, memos, and policy recommendations. 
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). 
The Ministry needs to extend the timeframe for responding to your request, pursuant to sections 
15A(1)(a) and 15A(1)(b) of the Act, as: 
•  the request is for a large quantity of information and meeting the original time limit would 
unreasonably interfere with the operations of the Ministry; and  
•  the consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a proper 
response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.

is an extension of 20 working days.
