Thank you for your email on 19 September 2024, asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora 
for the following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) regarding outsourcing to 
private companies:  
Has Te Whatu Ora contracted or purchased services from any of the following three 
companies at any time since 1 January 2024: 
 
- New Zealand Musculoskeletal Imaging Limited 
- NZ Cyclotron Limited 
- North MRI Limited 
 
If Te Whatu Ora has contracted or purchased services from any of these three 
companies please provide the dates on which those services were contracted for and 
the dates on which services were purchased, as the case may be. 
 
Note that when I refer to Te Whatu Ora for the purposes of this request I am including 
the hospitals and clinics run by Te Whatu Ora. 
 
Response 
Has Te Whatu Ora contracted or purchased services from any of the following three 
companies at any time since 1 January 2024: 
 
- New Zealand Musculoskeletal Imaging Limited 
- NZ Cyclotron Limited 
- North MRI Limited 
 
Health NZ has a Panel Agreement in place with NZ Radiology Group Limited for the provision 
of Radiology Services.  The Panel Agreement has been in place since the 1 November 2023. 
As part of the Panel Agreement with NZ Radiology Group Limited, New Zealand 
Musculoskeletal Imaging Limited & North MRI Limited are listed as approved facilities to 
provide radiology services.  
Health NZ has not contracted or purchased services from NZ Cyclotron Limited.
