Thank you for your email of 6 September 2024 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wellington City 
Council (the Council) requesting the following information: 
• Al  texts, emails, records of phone calls and meetings/meeting notes, between Mayor
Tory Whanau and Nadine Walker and any other staff member of the mayor's office
concerning possible breaches of conduct by Wellington City Council or's regarding
the Reading Cinema deal.
• Al  texts, emails, records of phone calls and meetings/meeting notes, between Mayor
Tory Whanau and Deputy Mayor Laurie Foon concerning possible breaches of
conduct by Wellington City Council or's. regarding the Reading cinema deal.
• Al  texts, emails, records of phone calls and meetings/meeting notes, between Mayor
Tory Whanau, her staff and any other WCC employees and Linda Clarke regarding
the briefing and hiring of her to investigate possible breaches by WCC council or's
regarding the Reading cinema deal.
Your request has been considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and 
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).  
The information you requested is attached.  In responding to this request we advise: 
• For your first two points (labelled Part 1 & 2), we have interpreted your request as
meaning the complaint, and not the process.
• Some material has been withheld from these documents under section 7(2)(a) of the
LGOIMA, to protect the privacy of individuals, and section 7(2)(c)(i), where the
making available of the information would be likely to prejudice the supply of similar
information, or information from the same source, and it is in the public interest that
such information should continue to be supplied.
You have the right, by way of complaint under section 28(1) of the LGOIMA, to request an 
investigation and review of the Council’s response by the Office of the Ombudsman.
