Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) to the Ministry of 
Health – Manatū Hauora (the Ministry) on 04 September 2024 for information regarding policy 
settings of medical interventions on gender questioning children and adolescents. You 
requested:  
 
“I request all communications (sceptical, supportive, or questioning) to the Minister, or any 
associate Minister of Health regarding the current policy settings of medical interventions 
on gender questioning children and adolescents, that is 
a) from a medical professional or group of professionals,  
b) since the release of the Cass Review final report on the 11th of March to the latest 
available date, 
c) as well as any responses from a Minister or official.”  
 
The requested information is more closely connected to the functions of the office of the 
Associate Minister of Health, Hon Matt Doocey. For this reason, I have decided to transfer your 
request to the Minister’s office under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act.
