Thank you for your email of 11 August 2024 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wellington City Council (the 
Council) requesting information regarding property classifications in the Long Gully are. Your request 
has been considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act 1987 
(LGOIMA). Please find my response below.  
 
1.  How many productive properties are there within Long Gully? 
 
The Council does not hold this information; therefore, I am refusing this portion of your request 
pursuant to section 17(g)(i) of the LGOIMA, as the information requested is not held by the local 
authority and the person dealing with the request has no grounds for believing that the information is 
held by another local authority or department or Minister of the Crown or organisation.  
 
2.  How many rural lifestyle properties are there within Long Gully? 
 
The Council does not recognise or use this term to classify properties, therefore we are do not hold 
any information on it. For this reason, I am refusing this portion of your request pursuant to section 
17(g)(i) of the LGOIMA, as the information requested is not held by the local authority and the person 
dealing with the request has no grounds for believing that the information is held by another local 
authority or department or Minister of the Crown or organisation. 
 
3.  Are there any other properties of a different category and if what classification? 
 
Al  properties in the Long Gully area are zoned as ‘Rural’.

investigation and review of the Council’s decision to withhold information by the Ombudsman.
