Request for information
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 10 August 2024. You
requested:
Under the OIA I simply request the dates of any complaints NZ Police
received relating to Waikumete Cemetery and Tipene Funeral services in
2023/2024 relating to bodies in the mausoleum or being charged for services
not provided or needed.
No personal details or other information is requested.
Police has received two complaints regarding Tipene Funerals. These were received on 7
and 8 March 2024 and related to incidents alleged to occur in August 2023 and January
2024. There were no complaints received in 2023.
Police has not received any formal complaints regarding the Waikumete Cemetery.
