Request for information
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 10 August 2024. You
asked for information regarding an indent that occurred on 13 November 2023, in which
red paint was splashed across the United States Consulate and New Zealand’s foreign
affairs building in the Auckland CBD by a group of pro-Palestine protesters, Tāmaki for
Palestine.
My response to each part of your request can be found below.

Please detail how many arrests have been made
No arrests were made in relation to the incident.
2.
What charges have been laid?
No charges were laid due to no arrests made.
3.
Has this case been before the courts?
Given the answers for Question 1 and 2 above, the case has never been before the
courts.
4.
What is the final outcome?
There is insufficient evidence and no further lines of enquiry to proceed the case any
further, therefore the case has been filed.
