Thank you for your request asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora for the following under the
Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act):
1. A list of all meetings attended by Lester Levy in his role as Commissioner for Health New
Zealand Te Whatu Ora from the date he assumed this role to the present.
2. Copies of the meeting minutes or summaries for each meeting where Lester Levy was
present
I apologise for the length of time it has taken to respond to your request. This is something we are
working to get on top of as we deal with a high volume of requests and the understandably high
public interest in our work.
Response
In response to the first part of your request, please see
Appendix One, which is the
Commissioner’s diary from 1 June 2024 until 30 September 2024. Professor Lester Levy was
appointed as Board Chair of Health NZ from 1 June 2024 and appointed as Commissioner from 24
July 2024.
The diary shows planned meetings or work times over each seven-day period. It does not capture
all work such as planning, ad-hoc work, phone calls, reading, clearing emails and unplanned
meetings.
Your request for
meeting minutes or summaries for each meeting would require substantial amount
of collation to bring together all the documents within scope and as such it is refused under section
18(f) of the Act.
If there are specific meetings you are interested in, you are welcome to submit a further request for
information.
