Request made under the Official Information Act 1982
Thank you for your email of 5 August 2024 requesting the fol owing information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
…all communications relating to the tender and purchase of four e-bikes and eleven
youth pushbikes, bike maintenance, insurance and a part time coordinator as per media
reports relating to a trial in Rotorua at a Kainga Ora complex.
This should include but not be limited to, al emails, texts, phone cal s and meetings etc.
On 2 September 2024, we extended the deadline to respond to your request by 10 working days
to 16 September 2024.
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) has made a decision to release this information to
you, without undue delay. We expect to be in a position to provide this to you by 23 September
2024.
Please note that certain information within the documents requested wil be withheld under the
Act for the fol owing reasons:
• Section 9(2)(a) to protect the privacy of natural persons, including that of deceased
natural persons.
• Section 9(2)(b)(ii) to protect information where the making available of the information
would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person who
supplied or who is the subject of the information.
We appreciate your ongoing patience while we finalise the response to your request and prepare
the information for release.
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to complain to the Ombudsman about the decision
