Official Information Act request: Apple visit 
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, received on 16 July 2024. 
You requested: 
 
- All documents (including, but not limited to: itineraries, communications e.g emails, 
texts) relating to the visit of Apple Inc. 
- All travel (specifically airfare) documents (including, but not limited to: receipts, 
itineraries, communications e.g emails, texts). 
- List of all passengers and booking classes for flights. 
 
You were advised that parts of your request were transferred to the Department of Internal 
Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. For clarity this office is answering the 
remainder of your request with information this office holds: 
 
All documents - communications e.g. emails, texts relating to the visit of Apple Inc. 
 
A search was completed, and one email has been located that is relevant to your request 
which is attached for you. Please note some information is withheld under section 9(2)(a) of 
the Act, to protect individual privacy. A small amount of information is not in scope of your 
request and is marked accordingly.  
 
In making my decision, I have considered the public interest considerations in section 9(1) of 
the Act. No public interest has been identified that would be sufficient to outweigh the 
reasons for withholding that information. 
 
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under 
section 28(3) of the Act.
