Official  Information  Act  (the  Act)  request  regarding  communications  in  relation  to 
Stefan Sunde and EY 
Thank you for your Official Information Act request received by my office on 13 July 2024. You 
requested the following information: 
'all correspondence with Stefan Sunde (Sunde is a member of the National party 
board of directors) all correspondence mentioning Stefan Sunde or "Stefan" 
Plus,  all correspondence about EY (Ernst & Young or Ernst and Young) including: 
any mention of their 'scandal' 
'secret drinking club' 
'PR nightmare' 
'sexual harassment' 
For  readability,  I  have  decided  to  break  down  your  request  into  two  parts.  Part  1  being 
correspondence with and in relation to Stefan Sunde and Part 2 being correspondence about 
EY that included any mention of the key words you listed on your request.  I would also like to 
clarify that the timeline for our search is between 27 November 2023,  when I was sworn in as 
Minister, to 13 July 2024, when I received your request. 
I can confirm that I do not hold any information within scope of either parts of your request.  I 
am therefore refusing your request under section 18( e ), as the information requested does not 
exist or, despite reasonable efforts to locate it, cannot be found. 
You have the right to request an investigation from the Ombudsman into my decision under 
section 28(3) of the Act.
