Official Information Act request: Material regarding The Platform radio station 
 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, received on 10 July 2024.  
 
You requested: 
 
“I am seeking publication, by way of reply to this formal OIA request, all text, email, and 
other written communication between the Prime Minister, his media team, his advisors, 
and individual members of the Cabinet regarding appearances and invitations to 
appear on the radio station 'The Platform.' Additionally, I request the publication of all 
communications in which Sean Plunket, the host of 'The Platform,' is specifically 
mentioned or discussed with regard to his role at 'The Platform.' 
 
This request pertains to communications from the time the current government was 
sworn in until the present date.” 
 
On 23 July you refined the request to specifically exclude correspondence between the 
Prime Minister and members of the public and to include written communications between 
the Prime Minister and: 
•  officials 
•  his staff and advisors 
•  Cabinet Ministers, and  
•  MPs. 
 
I can advise that no written communications have been exchanged between the Prime 
Minister and any of the parties listed above; therefore, I am refusing your request under 
section 18 (e) of the Act as the document alleged to contain the information requested does 
not exist. 
 
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under 
section 28(3) of the Act.
