Official Information Act request relating to Material regarding The Platform radio 
station 
 
Thank you for your request made under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), received 
on 9 July 2024. You requested: 
 
“I am seeking publication, by way of reply to this formal OIA request, all text, email, and 
other written communication between the Prime Minister, his media team, his advisors, 
and individual members of the Cabinet regarding appearances and invitations to 
appear on the radio station 'The Platform.' Additionally, I request the publication of all 
communications in which Sean Plunket, the host of 'The Platform,' is specifically 
mentioned or discussed with regard to his role at 'The Platform.' 
 
This request pertains to communications from the time the current government was 
sworn in until the present date. 
 
I understand that a decision regarding my request will be made within 20 working days, 
as required by the Act. Should my request necessitate an extension, I would appreciate 
being informed of the delay and the reasons for it.” 
 
The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet does not hold information relating to your 
request. I believe such information is held by the Prime Minister, Rt Hon Christopher Luxon. 
Accordingly, I have decided to transfer your request to Prime Minister, Rt Hon Christopher 
Luxon under section 14(b)(i) of the Act. 
 
The  Prime  Minister  has  the  usual  timeframes  under  the  Act  from  receipt  of  this  transfer  to 
make a decision on your request.
