Request for information
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 2 July 2024, in which
you asked for information regarding the details of Kiri Al an’s phone calls and visitors on
23 July 2023.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in providing you with this response. Police
greatly appreciates your patience while we completed the necessary consultation.
My response to each part of your request can be found below.
1.
Between arriving back at base at 10.15pm and being evidentially breath-tested one
and half hours later at 11.43pm, please list the times of phone cal s Kiri Al an made
or received if any and the duration of each call.
Between her arrival at the station and being evidentially breath tested, one phone call
was made by Kiri Al an at 2239hrs to her lawyer.
2.
Please list any non-Police visitors or support people who visited/spoke to Kiri Al an
between 10:15pm and 11:43pm, if any and the duration of the conversations.
Kiri Al an’s lawyer arrived at Wel ington Central Police station at 2306hrs after being
called at 2239hrs and remained with her throughout.
