Thank you for your request for information dated 01 July 20024 around Auckland Transport’s (AT) 
original light rail project. 
When did NZTA formal y take over the project? 
On 14 May 2018, NZTA received a letter confirming the decision made by Cabinet on 7 May 2018 
that “NZTA wil  lead the development of the CC2M and NW light rail lines”. 
2. Can I please be provided with the handover documents sent to NZTA? This should include the 
correspondence sent as part of the handover. 
Declined under section 17 (e) of the LGOIMA as the information does not exist. 
3. If the above is not forthcoming, what stage was the project at before NZTA took over? 
Approximately how long until construction would have started? 
Reference design was finished for the northern section and construction would have started in 2019 
and the system would have been operational end of 2024. 
4. Can you please provide any business cases created for the project? Even draft and incomplete 
ones please.
