Thank you for your Official Information Act (Act) request received by the Department of Internal 
Affairs (Department) on 27 June 2024. 
You requested – 
• Can you please provide a table that has the following details for the citizenship
applications submitted from 1 June 2024 to 4 June 2024?
- Date Received at DIA
- Date Processing
- Date of Outcome
- Outcome/Status
• Could you also provide a breakdown of all of the citizenship applications you have
received from 1 April 2024 to 25 June 2024 by grouping them up by country of birth,
current work stream of the application, and each application's current status (Approved,
Processing, Unassigned, Withdrawn, etc.)?
In response to your request, please refer to Appendix A attached alongside this letter. Appendix 
A provides you with a breakdown of the following – 
• Table one – Citizenship by Grant Applications Received Between 1 and 4 June 2024.
• Table two – Status of Citizenship by Grant Applications Submitted Between 1 April 2024
and 25 June 2024 Broken Down by Country of Birth and Workstream.
As this information may be of interest to other members of the public, the Department has 
decided to proactively release a copy of this response on its website. All requestor data, 
including your name and contact details, will be removed prior to release. The released 
response will be made available here: https://www.dia.govt.nz/Official-Information-Act-
Requests-2.
