Official Information Request – Annual Financial reports of the Social Wellbeing Agency 
I refer to your Official Information Act 1982 request, received on 26 June, in which you requested 
our ‘annual financial reports from 2020-present and when you were called the social wel being 
committee as well’.  
I note that this request was made to us as the Social Wel being Agency. On 1 July 2024, we 
became the Social Investment Agency with a refreshed mandate. 
We are required to produce an Annual Report each year that outlines our key achievements over 
the past year and details progress against long term outcomes and objectives. Our Annual Report 
also includes a statement of financial performance. Our Annual Reports for the period you have

You have also requested financial reports from when we were “called the Social Wellbeing 
Committee”. I can advise that Social Wellbeing Committee (SWC) was a Cabinet Committee under 
the previous government. Cabinet committees provide the forum for detailed consideration and 
discussion of issues before their reference to Cabinet and are not required to produce financial 
reports.  
 If you are not satisfied with this response, you have a right to seek an investigation or review by 
the Ombudsman. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
