How many cameras with automatic number plate recognition capability have
been instal ed on roads, streets, intersections, traffic lights, light posts, and other
Council property with Hutt City Council’s approval in the last five years?
How many cameras with automatic number plate recognition are operating in
Hutt City with the Hutt City Council’s approval?
Does the Hutt City Council own these cameras, lease these cameras, or are they
owned by another company?
For the cameras operating on roads, streets, intersections, traffic lights, light
posts, and other Hutt City Council property which are owned by companies
rather that Hutt City Council, what are the names and NZBN numbers for those
companies.
Which third parties does Hutt City Council provide data, images, or footage
collected with cameras operating on roads, streets, intersections, traffic lights,
light posts, and other Hutt City Council property?
Does Hutt City Council provide data, images, or footage to Auror Limited,
Datacom Group Ltd, vGRID, SaferCities, or Safe City Group Limited?
How many cameras does Hutt City Council have in 2024 which are supplying
data, images, or footage to vGRID, SaferCities, and/or Safe City Group Limited?

and expenditure) with Auror Limited in the 2022/2023 financial year?
Does Hutt City Council have a commercial relationship with Datacom Group Ltd
and what was the dol ar value of contracts and total financial transactions

Does Hutt City Council have a commercial relationship with Safe City Group

Response:
Council has 47 CCTV City Safety cameras. None of these have an automatic
number plate recognition function.
City Safety CCTV footage is provided to police and insurance companies. They
must provide an insurance complaint number, or police need to provide a file
number or event number. Council does not give out footage to individuals.
Council does not provide CCTV data / footage to Auror Limited, Datacom
Group Ltd, vGRID, SaferCities, or Safe City Group Limited.
Council has no contracts, nor do we supply footage, with Auror Limited,
Datacom Group Ltd, vGRID, SaferCities, or Safe City Group Limited.
