Thank you for your email of 19 June 2024 to Wellington City Council | Te Kaunihera o Pōneke (the
Council) requesting the following information:
1. Al communications if any, between council or Geordie Rodgers and the Green Party or any of
its representatives concerning parking in or around King street.
2. Al communications if any, between Deputy Mayor Laurie Foon and the Green Party or any of
its representatives concerning parking in or around King street.
3. The details of any discussions or communications between the Deputy Mayor and Geordie
Rodgers relating to parking in or around King Street. This should include informal discussions
etc.
4. Al communications if any between the Green Party or any of its representatives and
Wellington City Council or its representatives concerning parking in or around King street.
5. The details of any discussions formal or informal that took place on the 18th April at the
Regulatory Process meeting between Geordie Rodgers or Laurie Foon and Senior Wellington
City Council officers regarding parking in or around king street. Please provide al details of
what was discussed and who it was discussed with from WCC.
Your request has been considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act
1987 (LGOIMA). Please find the two quotes below, from Council or Geordie Rogers and Deputy-
Mayor Laurie Foon, in response to your LGOIMA.
Council or Rogers stated:
“On the 3rd of April I attended the opening of the Electoral Office on Adelaide Road. Tamatha
Paul mentioned to me that there were few short-term stay parks near the Electorate Office. I
do not have anything else in scope as I have not contacted the party or the MPs about
parking on King Street.”
Deputy-Mayor Foon stated:
“…on Friday the 21st I was at a meeting at the Electoral Office on Adelaide Road. I mentioned
to the constituents and the staff that we needed more bike parking close to the office.”
