Official Information Act request: Prime Minister's travel to Japan 
 
Thank you for your request made under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), received 
on 18 June 2024. You requested: 
 
Further information on Air New Zealand diverted aircraft to Brisbane to pick up 
your delegation, before proceeding to Japan. 
 
Could you please provide me with all communication, including, but not limited 
to: text messages and emails relating to this (including text messages with Greg 
Foran). 
 
I would also like copies of any invoices relating to the charter of this flight. 
 
I believe the second part of your request for invoices is more closely connected to the 
functions of the Department of Internal Affairs. Accordingly, I have decided to transfer this 
part of your request to Department of Internal Affairs under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act. The 
other parts of your request have not been transferred, and I will respond in due course. 
 
The Department of Internal Affairs has the usual time limits from receipt of this transfer to 
make a decision on your request.
