Overview
Summary of the current event
• Post election process
• Laptop shortages
• Some teams will be working through the weekend and public holiday.
• No weekend Taskforce meeting.
• Meeting cadence changed to Tuesday and Thursday meetings for the next 2 weeks

GENERAL UPDATE
Services
Overseas Operations
• No issues to report.
• Processing continues, preparing for qualification and count.
• Teams will be working over the weekend -Saturday and Sunday
Auckland North Region
• No issues to report.
• Shortage of laptops; some electorates will run two shifts to accommodate the shortage.
• All the counts will be completed today except Northland.
Auckland South Region
• No issues to report.
• Official count to be completed by end of today.
• Ready to start uploading SVDs on Tuesday morning.
• Additional laptops being arranged
• Manurewa/Tāmaki Makaurau have a large number of special votes – approx. 18,000+, which will require
teams to work on Monday.
Central North Island Region
• No issues to report.
• Staffing issue being managed in Napier.
• Most counts are well underway and will be completed today.
Lower North Island Region
• Official count progressing – 4 electorates are 90% complete with 3 under 60% complete.
• Reallocating laptops around the region to manage the SV processing where numbers are high. Otaki –
13,000, Wgtn Central 9,500 and others averaging around 6,000.
• Overseas team are providing 3 additional scanners to Hutt South to help complete roll scanning today.
South Island Region
• No issues to report.
• Short of laptops, reallocating across the region.
• Counts are going well, will be completed by Tuesday next week.
Enrolment
GENERAL UPDATE:
• Enrolment team has advised that they will not be able to complete processing of enrolment forms by
Sunday as previously indicated.
• The enrolment team will be working this weekend, and that will include Monday.
• Committed to work all weekend to complete processing so that they are able to start processing SVDs on
Tuesday 24 October.
• We have 98,533 enrolment forms to key (94,851 forms from VPs, 260 electronic and 3,422 other paper
forms).
IT
GENERAL UPDATE: •
MIKE system change was completed at 10pm 19/10, addressing the issue reported previously around
Special Votes Declaration (SVD) for GE2023.
• Decision to extend NOPT processing beyond 19/10 has had a knock effect with office space and IT
equipment required for Qualifications processing scheduled to start 20/10 .
Plan to address as follows: • 19/10 7:30pm-9:30pm (Completed)
o Relocated 10 x NOPT workstations for the continuation of NOPT processing
o Deployed 21 x BAU workstations for Qualifications Processing
• 21/10 08:00am – 10:30am (Planned)
o Swap out all NOPT workstations and replace with 28 x BAU workstations in readiness for
Qualifications Processing
