Thank you for your Official Information Act request (OIA) of 27 May 2024, in which you requested: 
Access to any documents related to the Aramoana Massacre 
Primary New Zealand Police Files on Operation Aramoana are not accessible to the public, as they 
have a 100-year restriction, making them public information in 2090.  
However, there have been numerous publications written on Operation Aramoana. I believe the most 
honestly reflective of these are: 
Bil  O’Brien (1991): Aramoana: Twenty Two Hours of Terror, The Police Inside Story. 
Publisher: Penguin Books NZ. ISBN 0140168192, ISBN 9780140168198 
Miles Singe & David Thomson (1992): Authority To Protect: A Story of Policing Otago

In addition, the New Zealand Police Museum has an online exhibition titled He Toa Taumata Rau
