Dear Mr Watson

OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT REQUEST 2024/34
On Wednesday 22 May 2024 you made a request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the OIA)
for the following information:
I previously raised an OIA concerning electoral commission finances, while this provided
answers I was unable to compare it to previous elections.

I would like a breakdown in the same manner as provided in the following OIA
https://fyi.org.nz/request/13701-costs-of-general-election

The same categorisations as the above should be used for the breakdown please. Where
there is more than a 10% difference between elections please provide an explanation

Attached is an expenditure table which is broken down in the same manner as the referenced OIA
response. Comments have been added to provide an explanation where there is a difference of
more than 10% between elections.
Further analysis of budget and expenditure can be found within Annual reports, these can be found
within our corporate publications page, here https://elections.nz/about/about-the-electoral-
