Request for information 2024-105
I refer to your request for information dated 22 May 2024, which was received by Greater
Wellington Regional Council (Greater Wellington) on 22 May 2024. You have requested the
following:
“Please supply all documentation relating to contracts the Wellington Regional Council has
developed with Joyce Advisory or Steven Joyce.”
Greater Wellington’s response follows:
We have reviewed our Financial Management Information system and Document Management
system and cannot find any evidence to show we have contracts with the Joyce Advisory or
Steven Joyce. We extended the search to customers or suppliers which sound like the terms
provided. And no results were found.
We have therefore refused your request under section 17(e) of the Local Government Official
Information and Meetings Act 1987 (the Act) on the basis that the document alleged to the
contain the information does not exist or, despite reasonable efforts to locate it, cannot be
found.
When refusing a request for information under section 17(e) of the Act we are required to first
consider consulting the requestor. In this instance we believed that consulting you would not
change the outcome of our decision.
If you have any concerns with the decision(s) referred to in this letter, you have the right to
request an investigation and review by the Ombudsman under section 27(3) of the Act.
