Hi Gareth,
Hope all is well.
We are planning an upcoming launch to celebrate our beautiful city which we all live and work in -
#lovetauranga.  We have started to release a few posts on Facebook etc but this is currently very low-key (note this
is a brand promotion of which UTF own Love Tauranga as a brand, however we are keeping the two brands very
separate).
The launch will take place next Thursday, 18 April from 4pm at Clarence Tauranga to an exclusively invited list of
attendees only.  As part of this, we will be holding a few speeches from
,
and hopefully yourself.  We are hoping you would be available to provide a ten-minute speech covering
everything Tauranga’s got going for it, current developments overview etc.  We greatly appreciate your passion for
the city and we need to get this positive message out wider.
Pease let me know if you have any questions and if you are available to help by way of providing a positive city
update at our launch.
I would appreciate if you could please keep this confidential at this stage.
Many thanks,
1

Hi Gareth,
Thanks – completely understand your position, so once l have more information, l will be in touch and you can see
if its something you are able to do; again understand if you cannot.
Many thanks,

Hey
Hope you had a lovely weekend. Cool re Thursday.
In terms of a candidate evening, please just let me know when you’ve got a date and exactly what’s planned. I’ll definitely
need to check in on that one to see if the organisation feels comfortable about me speaking in that kind of forum. We have
to be really careful during elections but as soon as you know exactly what’s planned, let me know and I’ll chat internally
for you.
Chat soon.
Many thx,
G.

Hi Gareth,
Ok, let’s leave this as it’s an early evening timeframe.
However, separately, at some point in the next two-three months we will hold a candidate’s panel debate (we did
this for the political candidates last year and our members appreciated hearing from them all on key questions
relating to property/business/growth).  Would you be open to ‘setting the scene’ with an update on all the great
things happening in the city at something like this or would this be a conflict for you?
Many thanks,

Hey
What time would I need to speak on the 18th? I’ve got an event that night that I have to go to, but can definitely come and
speak if it’s not too late.
Thoughts?
Many thx,
G.
