•  This table provides data relates to waiting times at the end of first quarter of 2024 
(31 March 2024), this being the most recent available quarterly reporting period. 
•  These figures are accurate as at 28 May 2024 but may be subject to change following 
further quality assurance processes. 
•  This data includes the average, median and maximum wait time from a logged 
appointment request to a recorded interaction with a dentist, medical officer (GP) or 
nurse following a Health Request Form (HRF). It may not take into account interim 
advice prisoners may receive prior to their appointment under some circumstances. 
•  Due to differences in prison populations sizes and demographics, figures are not 
directly comparable between prisons. For example, Mt Eden Corrections Facility is 
primarily a remand facility, with a higher proportion of short-term stays.
