Official Information Act request OIA 24.54 Law School Prizes 
I refer to the Official Information Act (the Act) request dated 18 May 2024 for information relating to Law 
School Prizes. You have specifical y requested: 
•  I would like the name of the recipients of the law prizes awarded by the faculty from 2020 to 2023 
(inclusive) with the corresponding name of the awards that were won. 
 
The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the 
day we received your request. Unfortunately, it wil  not be possible to meet that time limit and we are 
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to Thursday 27 June 2024.  
This extension is required because consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a 
proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. Due to a high volume of requests at 
this time, consultations on this request have taken longer than they otherwise would. 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about 
how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
