Dear S Bay
Official Information Request
Our Ref: OIA 2024-0125
I refer to your official information request dated 16 May 2024 for:
“Could you please provide any correspondance between the commission and DIA about
Maria Robertson and passports, since March 2024.”
The Official Information Act 1982 requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day that we received your request. Unfortunately, it wil not
be possible to meet that time limit and we are, therefore, writing to notify you of an extension of
the time to make our decision, to
21 June 2024.
We wil keep you updated on the progress of our response to your request.
This extension is necessary because consultations needed to make a decision on your request
are such that a proper respons
e cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
If you wish to discuss any aspect of your request with us, including this decision, please feel free
to contact Ministerial Services at [email address].
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
Information about how to make a complaint is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or
freephone 0800 802 602.
Yours sincerely
