I refer to your information request dated 14 May 2024 made under the Official Information Act 1982 
(the Act). You have requested: 
 
“The minimum and average GPA requirement for the Rural Graduate Applicants into the 2022-
2024 MBChB programs. Additional y, could you please specify the minimum GPA needed for 
both a “first round offer” and a “final waitlist offer”.” 
 
Subject to the fol owing general comment, please see below our response to your request. 
 
  The data is correct as at 5 June 2024. 
 
1.  The minimum and average GPA requirement for the Rural Graduate Applicants into the 2022 – 
2024 MBChB programs: 
 
Please see the below table which shows the minimum and mean weighted GPA scores to receive 
offers to the 2022 – 2024 MB ChB programmes via the Graduate Rural equity group. With regards to 
your request for the “GPA requirement”, we note that information relating to the entry requirements 
for the University’s MB ChB programme via the Graduate category are available on the University’s 
website.

GPA scores to receive non-waitlist and waitlist offers to the 2023 MB ChB programme via the 
Graduate Rural equity group: 
 
  We note that in 2022 and 2024 no offers from the waitlist were made in the MB ChB 
programme for Graduate Rural equity group applicants. Therefore, we decline these parts of 
your request pursuant to section 18(g) of the Act as the information requested is not held by

the University, and we have no grounds for believing that the information is either held or 
more closely connected with the functions of another agency subject to the Act.
