residential specialist schools: 
 
•  I request all advice, reports, and analysis you have received from the Ministry on 
these schools since becoming Minister. 
 
I have considered your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). 
 
The following Education Report was provided to my office on 22 April 2024: 
  -  Ministerial Appointments to the Combined Board for Westbridge Residential School 
(4157) and Halswell Residential College (522). 
Please note that, in line with section 18(d) of the Act, I am refusing to provide a copy of this 
report at the time of your request, as the information wil  soon be publicly available on the 
Ministry’s website at: www.education.govt.nz/our-work/information-releases/advice-seen-by-
our-ministers/. 
The document wil  be released in part, with some information withheld under section 9(2)(a) 
of the Act, to protect the privacy of natural persons.
