Re: Council use of herbicides
I refer to your email, which we received on 22 April 2015, requesting information about
Council use of herbicides.
Under section 14 of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987,
(LGOIMA) Auckland Council is extending the time limit for responding to your request. We
will reply to your request by 3 June 2015.
The reason for this extension is:
• The request is for a large quantity of official information or necessitates a search
through a large quantity of information and meeting the original time limit would
unreasonably interfere with the operations of the local authority.
This request requires the collation of information from many different parts of council and
council controlled organisations.
You have the right in accordance with section 27(3) of the LGOIMA to make a complaint to
the Office of the Ombudsmen about this extension.
