Thank you for your email of 9 May 2024 to Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities requesting the 
following information: 
 
1./ Please can you provide a copy of the Ngāti Rangi finalised partnership agreement. 
2./ If not finalised, please advise when this is to be expected 3./ Please confirm if this is the 
same draft agreement that has been discussed in previous OIA responses, where it could not 
be released as it was 'in draft' 
 
Kāinga Ora has considered your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA), and I am 
providing you with the document requested. Please note that some information has been withheld 
under section 9(2)(a) of the OIA, to protect the privacy of natural persons, and section 9(2)(b)(i ), 
where making the information available would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial 
position of the person who supplied or who is the subject of the information.  
 
Kāinga Ora has considered the public interest in providing this information but does not believe that it 
outweighs the need to withhold it. 
 
I can confirm that the document being provided to you is the finalised (signed) version of the draft 
Partnership Agreement with Ngāti Rangi referred to in previous OIA responses. 
 
There is a parenthetical reference to Teitei Drive, Ohakune, at paragraphs 1.1.3 and 10.2 of the 
Agreement. Please note that this is included as an example of the kind of housing development 
partnerships that Kāinga Ora and Ngāti Rangi might be involved in pursuing, and that Kāinga Ora has 
no plans to build housing on this site.
