LGOIMA 2024/15 Camping Ground Licences  
In relation to your LGOIMA request dated 8 April  2024.  Please see below answers to your questions 
asked: 
1. 
Could you kindly provide a list of all camping grounds which Council has issued a camping ground licence in the 
past 3 years in accordance with the Camping Ground Regulations 1985. 
Licensed independently owned camping grounds: 
1.  Bluebeach Campground – 566 Beach Road, Porangahau 4293. 
2.  Camp Wakarara – 1 North Block Road, Tikokino 4279. 
3.  Rivers Edge Holiday Park – 26 Harker Street, Waipawa 421.0 
Closed independently owned camping grounds within the last three years:  
4. 
Beach Road Holiday Park – 566 Beach Road, Porangahau 4293. 
2.  Please include relevant addresses for each camping ground and identify if any camping grounds are operated 
by Council or subject to a lease with Council. 
Licensed camping grounds subject to a lease with Central Hawke’s Bay District Council: 
1.  Waipukurau Holiday Park – 20 River Terrace, Waipukurau 4200. 
2.  Pourerere Beach Camp Ltd – 232 Pourerere Beach Road, RD 1 Waipawa 4271. 
3.  Blackhead Beach Camping Ground – 14 McHardy Place, Blackhead 4284. 
Licenced camping grounds with a Licence to Occupy Council land: 
4.  Kairakau Camping Ground – Kairakau Beach Road, Kairakau, Elsthorpe 4295.
