Thank you for your email of 27 March 2024 to Wel ington City Council (the Council) requesting the 
following information: 
 
1.  Just wondering if you ever had any requests for your Accessibility Action Plan to be publically 
available in Government approved Alternative formats, such as Easy Read, NZSL, Brail e, 
Oral, or Large Print, since it was published in 2019. 
 
2.  If these weren't supplied, could you please the reasons as to why UN CRPD Article 21 was 
not met, and the responsibility would have fal en on. 
 
3.  Could you please supply all communications with MSD translation services in regards to this 
policy/plan, and if and when these were actual y requested. 
 
 
Your request has been considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act 
1987 (LGOIMA). Your request has been partially granted, please see our response below. 
 
Questions One and Two 
 
We have not had any requests of this nature however when our refreshed Accessibility Action Plan is 
adopted by WCC in May we wil  be ensuring it is available in a range of accessible formats.  
 
Question Three 
 
This portion of the request is refused under section 17(e) as the information does not exist.  
 
You have the right, by way of complaint under section 28(1) of the LGOIMA, to request an 
investigation and review of the Council’s decision to withhold information by the Ombudsman.
