Thank you for your email of 26 March 2024 to Wellington City Council (the Council) requesting the
following information:

… all correspondence, if any, relating to requests or inquiries about broadcasting the Call to
Prayer from locations within the Wel ington region. This should include but not be limited to
email, texts and meetings between Wel ington City Council staff, Council ors, the Mayor and
her staff etc.
On 25 April 2024, you refined the scope of your request to cover only
communications with
Council ors, the mayor and her staff.
The information you requested is attached. Please note that some of the content contains offensive
material.
We advise that some material has been withheld from this information under the fol owing sections
of the Local Government Official information and Meetings Act:
• Section 7(2)(a), to protect the privacy of individuals
• Section 7(2)(d), to avoid prejudice to measures protecting the health or safety of members of
the public
• Section 7(2)(f)(ii), to maintain the effective conduct of public affairs through the protection
of such members, officers, employees, and persons from improper pressure or harassment
