[FYI request #26166 email]
Dear John
Thank you for your Official Information Act (OIA) request, received on 25 March 2024.
You requested the following:
1. May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you
have call for public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website.
2. How many applications you have received from the public and how many
you have received from other nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry
of women etc for your role.
3. How many you have shortlisted and how many you have interviewed.
4. Please also supply the copy of your advertisement.
Appointment and reappointment of Crown Entity chairs, deputy chairs and directors are
made by the responsible minister under the Crown Entities Act 2004 (section 28 and
29). We also reference the Board Appointment and Induction Guidance issued by the
Public Service Commission, ‘if a further term is being recommended, departments don’t
need to follow the full process as for an initial appointment, but need to be able to
assure their minister that appointment for a further term is the most appropriate option.
The Appointment and Honours Committee submission should clearly state the process
that has been followed and the reasons for reappointment being proposed.’ In this
instance the responsible minister approved the elevation and reappointment of
incumbent board members and this was supported by Cabinet.

May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you have
