OFFICIAL INFORMATION REQUEST DECISION ON TEITEI 28 DECEMBER MEDIA 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 20 March 2024 as set out below.  
 
With regards to the Facebook video, 8 minutes 43 seconds into the video, mayor 
Weston advises that "it was only yesterday that we got notice of this". 
 
1./ Please provide a copy of this notice dated 27th Feb 2024  
2./ Please provide copies of any communications internal or external regarding teitei 
on 27th feb 2024. 
 
The information requested is provided below:  
We are unable to provide copies of documents as requested, as they do not exist. There is not a 
notice dated 27 February 2024, nor are there any communications internal or external regarding 
Teitei Drive on 27 February 2024. 
 
The Mayor received a phone call in the afternoon Tuesday 27 suggesting that Kāinga Ora may be 
reconsidering the Teitei Drive development. The information was not received by Council until 
09:46AM Wednesday 28th as advised in your request for information dated 18 March 2024. 
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
