• Car parking for bike-and-ride 
• Group did not agree to progress this. Strategy is to encourage people to bike from their homes for their 
journeys, rather than drive to a parking point. Other concerns – lack of available space in Petone, 
limited enforcement ability for specific parking purposes. 
Information 
• Honiana Te Puni Reserve Shared Path 
• Group agreed no further design changes other than those that have been discussed at project level. 
Noted that there wil  consideration by HCC of the dog bylaw that wil  look at dog control on shared 
paths. 
Offical 
• Dowse Drive at-grade rail crossing the 
• A request is currently with KiwiRail to respond to this request. However senior managers noted support 
for strategy of reducing level crossings, particularly from GW transport (Metlink) perspective. 
• Remove pedestrian-cyclist conflicts at Pito-One underpass
under 
• Group did not agree to progress any restriction of pedestrians. Endorsed project team approach of 
monitoring to see whether any issues arise.

• Pito-One to Melling fence design
• Group did not agree to any further action, no action raised about this through safety audit
process.
• Design at new Melling Station
• Group endorsed design direction of the project team, noting there wil  be engagement at
PDLG.
• Design at Kennedy Good Bridge area
• Group supported low-cost-low-risk projects in this area to provide short term improvements
through to Owen Street area.
• Melling to KGB river-side shared paths
under the Offical Information Act 1982
• Group endorsed design direction of the project team, noting there wil  be engagement at
PDLG. HCC to consider feedback when developing changes to dog bylaw.
