Thank you for your Official Information Act (OIA) request of 3 March 2024 for:
I request under the Oficial Information Act a list of the subscriptions the Director of
Economics/Chief Economist has to publications and newsletters. This includes email newsletters,
media publications (FT, Economist etc etc), academic journal subscriptions.
In the interests of making the request actionable, I am happy to limit the request to cover 1 March
2023 to 1 March 2024.
I also request the titles of any books purchased by the Director of Economics/Chief Economist
between 1 March 2023 to 1 March 2024.
As noted in our earlier correspondence, the timeframe for this response was extended to 10 April
2024, to al ow for the necessary consultations required to make a decision on this release.

We have identified two digital subscriptions for the RBNZ Chief Economist, as fol ows:
• Financial Times
• National Business Review
Please note these subscriptions are RBNZ (corporate) subscriptions available to staf upon request.
Additional y, other external news sources might be accessible to the Chief Economist without the
need for an individual license (and for example, might be received as a daily email or provided
through group access). These may include:
• Banking Day
• Central Banking.com
• Interest.co.nz
• NZ Herald
No book purchases were identified for the RBNZ Chief Economist for 1 March 2023 – 1 March 2024.
